Do I have to be referred by a doctor to book a physiotherapy appointment?
No you do not need a referral, you can just arrange it yourself.
Can I make a claim through my private medical insurance?
If you want to claim through your health insurance policy you usually have to have a G.P.s letter or agreement before they will cover your treatment. You must also contact your insurers to check the terms of your policy. We require you to make the payment to the clinic. You will be issued with a receipt to send to your insurance company for re-imbursement.
How much is each appointment?
Your first and consequent appointments will vary depending upon the type and length of treatment. Please see click here for our prices.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments varies from person to person according to your needs. There is no set number. The physiotherapist will discuss this with you on your first appointment it will depend on the severity of your condition and your rate of progress.
Can I telephone for advice?
Our physiotherapists are very happy to advise you if physiotherapy would be the appropriate treatment and discuss any worries you have prior to treatment.
Do you treat people at home if they are unable to travel?
Yes, an appointment can be made for a physiotherapist to visit you at home within a reasonable distance of the clinic.
Do I need to wear anything different?
You may be required to undress to your underwear during the initial examination so you are welcome to bring a pair of shorts to put on if you have a back or leg problem.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes you are welcome to be accompanied. If a child is coming for treatment then we will require a parent or guardian to be present.
Can I park at the clinic?
There are designated voucher parking areas, in the surrounding streets near to the clinic. Please see map. You can purchase vouchers at the clinic and the reception staff will be happy to advise you how to use them.
